Sewage customers could see increase in rates
CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) – Clarksville Municipal Sewage customers will likely get hit in the wallet with higher rates. The higher rates would help pay for millions of dollars in sewage and storm water projects.
The town council is looking at four different options.
- A 20 to 55 percent increase means your storm water bill would be a total of $3.50 per month to as much as $4.60.
- A 50 to 65 percent hike on your sewer bill would add up to anywhere from a total of $41.93 to $46.12 each month for the average household.
The town council is expected to take up the issue at next month’s board meeting.
An increase would not go into effect until next year.
