LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Friday was the much anticipated release of the new Apple iPhone 5.
Thousands ordered online while others decided to line up at the store to get the new phone. While lots of people are excited for the new phone, not everyone felt the same way about waiting in line.
"I just got the new IOS6 on my phone because I have the iPhone. It has a few updates, but not anything that I would go die for, that I need the iPhone 5 now," said Michelle James who has an older iPhone.
Even if the iPhone 5 lacks the revolutionary new feature that wows buyers, it still had a record two million presale units in 24 hours.
Even though millions of people camped out for the new phones, not everyone was that enthusiastic.
"It's ridiculous. I wouldn't. There better things in life to do," said Stephanie Bryant who does not want the new phone.
"I would never camp out to go for a piece of technology. It's not worth it," said Michelle James, who has an older iPhone.
Some analysts expect eight to 10 million more devices to sell this weekend.
